Monetisation is the process of converting bank instruments you own or that have been allocated to your project — such as an SBLC (Standby Letter of Credit) or BG (Bank Guarantee) — into cash credit lines through international financial institutions. As NMT Emlak Danışmanlık Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, we provide professional brokerage and structuring services to convert these dormant, high-value instruments into an active cash flow you can deploy in your investment projects.
Through our London- and Dubai-based monetiser network, we maximise your instrument’s loan-to-value (LTV) and channel fresh capital into your projects.
01How Does the Monetisation Process Work?
Converting bank instruments into cash is carried out within the framework of strict international banking rules and SWIFT protocols:
- Instrument Due Diligence
- The issuing bank of your instrument, its wording (verbiage) and its validity are checked. Only instruments issued by Top-Tier banks (the world’s 25–50 largest banks) are accepted for monetisation.
- Determining LTV (Loan to Value)
- The cash credit ratio is set according to the type of instrument and its issuing bank. For SBLCs and BGs this typically ranges between 60% and 90% of the instrument’s face value.
- SWIFT MT760 Transmission
- The instrument is blocked or assigned to the funding bank through the official SWIFT channel (MT760).
- Funding and Payment
- Once confirmation of the instrument is received, the cash amount at the agreed LTV ratio is transferred to the investor’s account or directly to the project account.

02Advantages of Monetisation for Investors
- Access to High Liquidity
- You can access significantly higher credit volumes against your bank collateral, without spending your cash assets.
- Independence from Credit Rating
- In monetisation transactions, banks typically focus on the quality of the pledged instrument (SBLC/BG) rather than the company’s balance sheet.
- Speed of Project Financing
- This financing model concludes far more quickly than traditional lending processes.
- Non-Repayment Options
- In certain specialised models (recourse/non-recourse), repayment terms can be adapted to the structure of the project.
