Global trade is not confined to payment and shipping documents alone. The origin and quality of goods, their compliance with health standards, and eligibility for customs advantages are all certified through “Supporting Documents”. As NMT Danışmanlık Ltd., we provide professional support in managing and controlling all the ancillary documentation required for your foreign trade operations to proceed without a hitch.
01Key Supporting Trade Documents
- Certificate of OriginThe official document proving the country in which exported goods were manufactured. It is the most critical document for calculating customs duties and monitoring trade restrictions applied to certain countries.
- ATR and EUR.1 Movement CertificatesDocuments used under the Customs Union and Free Trade Agreements between Turkey and the European Union. They allow goods to benefit from customs exemption or reduced rates.
- Inspection CertificateIssued by independent international surveillance bodies such as SGS or Bureau Veritas. It certifies that the pre-shipment quantity, quality and packaging of the goods comply with the contract, and is the buyer’s greatest safeguard.
- Health and Phytosanitary CertificatesMandatory in particular for the trade in agriculture, food and live animals. They prove the goods are free of plant disease and fit for human consumption or health use.
- Insurance PolicyShows that goods are insured against risks in transit (damage, loss, accident) in foreign trade. Banks require its presentation under CIF or CIP delivery terms.
- Certificate of AnalysisA technical document showing the proportions of components contained in chemicals, minerals or industrial products.
